The fishing season at Yes Bay Lodge started with our first guests arriving on June 5th, of course the crew had been fishing for several weeks prior to the guests arrival.

The King season started slow as usual, however, that does not mean there were not any salmon around. This year was exceptional with big Chum salmon available from the time we opened until when we closed at the end of September. Kings were the same way, we were on fish all season.

The pink run was phenomenal, seemed like it was a never ending supply. The silvers came in early, but not in large quantities. Plenty around from late July on, but when we closed at the end of September the main run was just beginning to arrive.

There were plenty of halibut all season as well as some nice ling cod and some huge rock fish.

All in all it was a great year, make plans to join us in 2010. We are now taking bookings and the prime dates will fill up quickly, so make your plans now!
