If you love fishing for and catching really big smallmouth bass and lots of them then Lake Erie near Buffalo New York is the place for you. The season opens on May 4th and believe me I am ready to go. The trophy season in New York allows for anglers to catch and release as many smallmouth as they like but can only keep one bass per day over 20 Inches. Of course releasing all you catch, especially that time of year is greatly encouraged. A good camera is a great part of practicing CPR, catch photograph and release. Drop me a note at jomhanleyfishing@yahoo.com or go toy web site www.northeastoutdoors.com for more information about the greatest smallmouth lake in the world.
