The inshore, offshore and Tarpon fishing of 2016 was a great year for my fishermen and me! We caught lots of fish in every direction we went. I'm going on my 23rd year as a full time fishing charter Capt. When I started this business I never imagined I would be saying that. Many of you have children that started fishing with me when they were just big enough to hold a fishing rod, now they are grown and have careers of their own, it's hard to believe! Sometimes I wonder, if I were able to take all the fish that have been landed on my boat and put them in a big pile what it would look like. Sounds funny, but think about it! It would be a mound of hundreds of thousands of fish. So many days on the water and so many fish. I still love the challenge that each day brings and honing my skills to adapt to the fish patterns. Every day on the water is a chance to learn something new.

I'm very fortunate to have a business that I love and I want to thank all my fishermen and fisher ladies for making it a great year. I hope 2017 is better than ever for all of us! I wish everyone a happy new year.

I am putting my 2017 schedule together and just want to give everyone the heads up. Now's the time to plan your winter, spring and summer trips. Peak Tarpon is May 1st through mid July and they are already filling up! Let me know as soon as you have dates in mind.

Thank You,

Capt. Matt Ercoli
