Today I fished with the Jerry the"Hagman" again! Our last few trips have been phenomenal, so we thought that we would push our luck and see if we could continue our success. I'm sure one of the next few trips together will not go so well, but it was definitely not this trip. In the first two hours we had over 20 keepers and the remaining of the day we caught a total of 67 crappie, including 44 keepers! We both agreed that we have not seen the bite this consistent for this long in a while and it surely wont last forever. If you have been considering getting out on the water with me to crappie fish now is the time. Thanks for ANOTHER great trip Jerry!

We had an awesome day with a total of 51 crappie, including 28 keepers! We also pulled into a cove when the white bass were on a topwater feeding frenzy. We caught about 20 in 30 minutes before they stopped. Thanks for another great time Mark, hope you had safe trip home!

August 16, 2009 Percy Priest Lake (Two Trips)

Today I fished with Bob, Jeff, Michael and Will Mahoney. We had a great day reeling on 30 fish, including 15 keepers. The highlight if the day was when we realized that Jeff was not stuck on bottom of the lake, instead he had a 30lb flathead catfish on the end of his line. Talk about making memories, I don't think any of us will ever for get this day! Thanks for a great time guys!

Our second trip was guided by Billy Harris. He had the privilege to fish with Steve Arnold and Shelton Lowery. Fishing for crappie they had a slow start, but a strong finish. Below, they are holding 13 keepers caught in brushpiles from 12ft - 20ft of water.

August 12, 2009 Old Hickory & Percy Priest Lake

Yesterday I started the day at Old Hickory Lake with Dan and Hannah Clayton form Franklin, TN. Hannah is down to her last week of summer break before she heads to Lipscomb University and her father wanted to take her fishing to spend some quality time together. We were blessed with a cool morning with low north winds, a great fishing atmosphere. In addition to the perfect weather, the fish were cooperating with us as well! During our several hours together, we caught around 15 bass on soft plastics. I had a great time with you guys and wish you the best of luck at Lipscomb Hannah!

My second trip was at Percy Priest Lake with Glenn and Alexander Weitzmen from Franklin, TN. Once again, Alexander is down to his last week of summer before he entering 4th grade, and Glenn wanted to get him out for some fun fishing before he hits the books. If there is one word Alexander would use to some up our trip, it beleive it would be "fun". During our four hours together we caught around 25 fish, including 11 keepers. Alexander you did a great job reeling in all those fish and I hope you enjoy the 4th grade!

Bio: For as long as I can remember I have loved the feel of a fishing rod in my hand. At thirteen I decided that I wanted to become a professional bass fisherman. From that day forward my future fishing career was the basis for every decision I have made. During high school I worked at Pohick Regional Park. School and work kept me very busy but whenever time allowed, I found myself on the water fishing. I started tournament fishing at the age of sixteen when I fished local and regional open tournaments. The following year I joined The Virginia Bass Federation and found myself as a student in a different classroom. There were many older anglers who taught me as much as they could. I believe those more experienced fisherman enjoyed tutoring me, as they could see the ambition and determination that drove me to be the best fisherman possible. Thanks to the help of many friends and teammates I began my journey as a good bass angler at an early age.
