The fishing has been excellent the past couple of weeks! Mahi-Mahi (aka Dolphin Fish) have invaded our area in great numbers. They are being caught either trolling or while drifting. Fish have been inside 300 feet and ranging from 5 - 15lbs. These fish are migrating back south and avoiding cold water. The Sailfish bite continues to improve. Some anglers have been getting up to 7 shots a trip. We should see more and more Sails as we get further into November and December and cold fronts make their way through the area. Fish are either being caught on flat lines while drifting or kite fishing. King Mackerel are also on the edge and are being caught usually while Sailfishing. Inshore the Cero and Spanish Mackerel are also making a strong showing and anglers are able to bend a rod when its too rough to get offshore. The Mackerel are also on the reefs and can be chummed up while fishing for Yellowtail Snapper which is always productive as long as there is current.
