As summer gets closer, the captains of the Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association are taking care of some last minute details to have their boats tip-top for their busy summer schedules.

Captain John Lewis of the "Insatiable" has returned from Puerto Rico to Beach Haven with the private boat which he captains. Since that boat is in the process of being sold, Captain John is now completing his spring prep on the "Insatiable" and plans to be fully ready for fishing charters in early June.

The captain and crew on the head boat "Miss Beach Haven" has taken time the past two weeks to do some last minute painting. Plans call for the boat to sail for black sea bass at 8 am. on the weekend of May 19 and May 20.

Captain Lindsay Fuller planned to bring the "June Bug" back from Manteo, North Carolina last weekend. He reports the boat is in great shape after having some minor items taken care of in its winter storage in the south. Captain Lindsay planned to do some fishing on the way back north. There have been reports of bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, bigeyes, sharks, and even some swordfish that he hopes to encounter on the way. Once the "June Bug" is back berthed in Beach Haven, Captain Lindsay will be ready for both inshore and offshore charters.
