This report is for Tuesday through Thursday.

On Tuesday we fished a corporate trip out of waterfront. We only got to fish about 3 1/2 hours before we called it a day. They were on a tight schedule and even though all the guys wanted to stay out we had to get them in or the buses would have left them. All the groups caught some fish. My group managed around 15 fish and lost another 10. We never caught any big fish but we had alot of fun. All fish were caught in 5 foot or less on a swimbait.

On Wednesday the wind had died completely. The bite was tougher than it had been and we had work really hard for what we caught. All fish were caught on the swimbait once again with the exception of 4 that came on a square bill crankbait.. We had alot of our fish just slapping at the bait and you would catch about every third or fourth one. We did catch some good ones though. We never fished deeper than about 8 feet. We only caught about 20 fish. During the after noon the wind picked up just a little bit and it helped the bite out alot.

On Thursday we fished a half day and the bite was much better than on Wednesday. We caught several fish and had around 20 lbs by 10:30. We caught fish on a spook, sammy and swimbait. Fish were caught from 2 to 8 feet. We saw several chasing shad on a few places. We got some kind of bite every where we stopped.

It's time for the ledge bite to really get kicked in and I am hearing a few reports of some guys who are already catching several deep. I will start hunting them in the next few days.

I have 2 half days open next Thursday and Friday if anyone wants to go.

Good luck and hope this helps out.
