Fished the last 11 days straight and the big fish are starting to show up. This week has been really good. The nubers aren't high but the quality is there. We are catching fish on traps, jigs, and crankbaits and are catching fish anywhere from the 2-3 foot depth out to the 12 feet. We have even got up supper shallow and have seen a few cruisers. The really shallow fish are holding on stumps mixed with grass and the deeper fish are on rock or rock and shell. The only bad part about it is that you fish an area once and may not get a bite and you come back later and catch 3 5 pounders of it.

If you get out try to give the Everstart boys some room. They got alot on the line. One of my buddies was in 6th after day one with right at 21 pounds and the leader had 29lbs.

Also just wanted to pass along that I will not be fishing Bassmaster weekend series this year or am I going to fish any of the BFL'S. Just taking a year off and doing nothing but guiding.

Good luck out there.
