Sunday was a fun day on the Beach (10/23/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] The guys had a blast as the Okuma reels sang that sweet tune as the Power Pro was put to the test. After a fun day on the water we listened to the Saints game on the radio in the boat on the way in and while I cleaned the fish. Total catch for the day was 95 Trout, 16 Drum, 10 Sheepshead, 2 Reds, and 1 Flounder.

Two fish filled days Thursday and Friday on the Beach (10/22/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] The Hometrust Mortgage group from Houston came down for two days of fishing fun. Day one total was 100 Trout, 25 Drum, 3 reds, 6 Sheepshead, and 3 Flounder. Day two total was 75 Trout, 10 Drum, 6 Sheepshead, and 5 Reds. Lots of fish, lots of action, and lots of fun by all.

[Shell Beach,LA] There were some Reds, Drum, and Sheepshead mixed in with the Trout to make the Okuma reels sing. Lots of fun with some super nice people. Total catch was 100 Trout, 2 Reds, 5 Drum, and 6 Sheepshead.

[Shell Beach,LA] Stayed in one spot and filled the boat. Great time with great people on a beautiful fall day, as good as it gets. Total for the day was 100 Trout, 4 Reds, 8 Drum, 6 Sheepshead, and 1 Flounder.

Great fishing Wednesday on the Beach (10/11/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] With limits of Trout done and some Drum in the box we hit a close by pond to look for some Reds. We picked up 5 and headed to the house. The guys had a great time and were a lot of fun to fish with. Total catch for the day was 125 Trout, 10 Drum, 5 Reds, and 2 Sheepshead.

Slammed them on the Beach today (10/09/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] It was constant action. When the shrimp started to get low we put on the Bayou Chubs and the Trout ate them up them. The guys had a fantastic time loading up the boat with limits of Trout on a pretty day. Total for the day was 125 Trout, 10 Drum, 9 Sheepshead, and 2 Flounder.

[Shell Beach,LA] Got on a good school of Reds and the guys had a blast with them. They had a great time and filled up the fish box. All fish caught on Campo’s live shrimp under a cork.

Fall fishing fun on the Beach today (9/29/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] It was almost as much fun just watching the shrimp jump with Trout jumping up for them and gulls attacking from above, as it was catching them. Once again lots of 15” Reds mixed with the Trout and several 24”-30” Reds. We even had one that tried to eat a small Trout being reeled in. Total catch for the day was 75 Trout, 5 Reds, 5 Drum, 1 Sheepshead, and a great time on the water.

[Shell Beach,LA] Campo’s live shrimp on a light Carolina rig did the trick. The guys had a great time and are looking forward to the next trip. Total catch for the day was 100 Trout, 3 Reds, 2 Drum, and 1 Sheepshead.

[Shell Beach,LA] Beverly had never fished before, but she caught on quick and had a blast. Total catch was 112 Trout (with whites), 2 Reds, 1 Drum, and 3 Sheepshead.

[Shell Beach,LA] Once again the NE wind was blowing so off into the Biloxi Marsh we headed after a stop by Campo’s for bait. We started out where I ran into some good fish the day before and they both immediately were hook up. Trout, Reds, Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, you name it they caught it.

Reds in the wind Wednesday at the Beach (9/21/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] Fishing the wind blown shorelines with live shrimp under a cork up against the grass the guys had a great time catching Reds, Drum, Trout and Heads. The guys had a great time filling the box to the top with some pretty fish, and can’t wait to get back down and go again. Total catch for the day was 15 Reds, 23 Trout, 4 Drum, 12 Sheepshead, and 2 Flounder.

A week of action on the Beach (9/17/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] All fish were caught with Campo’s live shrimp under a cork. The fishing remains outstanding so come on down and see what a great fishery we have in the Shell Beach area.

Quality fish on the Beach Sunday (9/04/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] Time was running out and we had to leave those fish biting, but with non stop action all day long either from the trash fish or good fish the gang has a blast. Total catch in the box was 48 Trout (logs), 1 Red, 1 Pompano, 2 Drum, and 3 Spanish.

[Shell Beach,LA] At our last stop we got on a real good bite and the fish box was filling fast. With the heat coming on and sore arms they had enough and cried uncle. Good thing because with the size of these fish I don’t know were we were going to put any more. I had to stand on top of the fish box to close it. They had a great time and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. Total catch for the day was 88 Trout (2-4 pounds), 5 Reds, 2 Pompano, 3 Spanish, and 1 Sheepshead.

[Shell Beach,LA] We left them biting and easily could have finish out my limit too, but we had plenty and the heat was coming on so to the house we went. Total catch for the day was 113 Trout, 4 Reds and 1 Sheepshead. The guys had a great time and will be back soon.

[Shell Beach,LA] The guys put their limits in the boat and when they stopped to eat some lunch I picked up a rod and put a few in the boat for me. The wind laid down as the morning went on, so with an over stuffed fish box and flat seas we headed to the house. Total catch was 135 Trout, 2 Drum, and 1 Pompano.

[Shell Beach,LA] We finally did get away from them and got on a good Trout bite and the guys caught their limits just in time so we could head on in and beat the rain. Total catch was 50 Trout (1-3 pounds), 2 Sheepshead, and lots of big Reds in the 30 pound class released.

Windy weekend report from the Beach (7/23/2007)
[Shell Beach,LA] I had the pleasure of fishing with Jim and his daughter Lauren. Jim fished with me last year and wanted to put Lauren on some Trout and Reds. Since they flew into town and were not interested in keeping much if any fish to take home it was mostly catch and release. They caught a whole lot of fish over the two days and had a great time.

[Shell Beach,LA] The wind made for a lot of missed fish today, but 63 nice Trout from 13”-20”, 6 Sheepshead, and 3 Flounder made it to the box. Tough conditions, but the guys had a great time and caught plenty of fish.

[Shell Beach,LA] The action was fast and the Trout were nice, mixed from 13”-23”. Too much fun for me to miss out on so I joined in and by 7:30 Trout #75 hit the box.

[Shell Beach,LA] Total catch for the day was 100 Trout, 30 Channel Mullets, and 1 Flounder. They did a great job of fishing today in some not so good conditions, and a pleasure to be with.

[Shell Beach,LA] The girls had a great time putting 10 Trout, 2 Reds, 2 Sheepshead, and 2 Channel Mullets on ice. No better way to spend Father’s Day.

[Shell Beach,LA] We made a few moves and put together a nice box of fish. With 50 Trout, 6 Sheepshead, 2 Reds, and 1 Drum the guys said they had more than enough fish and were ready to head to the house.
