Sandy Hook, New Jersey - Saltwater Fishing Report
Ocean

Started out the day catching the change of tide in SH Channel, caught a few small fish, no keepers. Made another drop closer to the knoll, NG. Fished in on the beach, NG. Decided to run down the beach and fish some snags and rough bottom. Caught a bunch of Sea Bass and all short Fluke...still not a keeper by 12:00pm!!

Got a call from Capt.George who had a pick back up in the channel....blasted off once again to catch the end of the tide. First fish, a 5 pounder for the pool. Had a few more keepers and some shorts to finish out the day...amazing how we fished that area for 4 days without a bite and today I don't go there and a few were hungry!!!! Go figure! Capt.Ron
