Sandy Hook, New Jersey - Saltwater Fishing Report
Ocean/Bay

Fished the reach first thing in the A.M. with a very slow drift and just a pick on some shorts and keepers. Figured it would take way too long to get the change of tide and a drift so we took off for the channels.

First drift we hit the end of the tide just right and picked at the shorts and a few keepers. Second drift when we tried to do it again, the show was over!

Waited for the incoming but the bite never turned on...ran over to SH channel where it was mostly Sea Robbins. Back to the knoll for a 2.1 knot drift. Finished up in the bay where Frank Petullo caught the pool fish on the last drift. Had 4 other keepers and a couple shorts on that on also. Not a good day of catching for us today...

Good Bluefishing last night for Capt. Frank...fish up to 12 pounds kept everyone busy..Capt.Ron
