The sea was angry this week. She shook us around like a cowboy riding a bull. Fishing was however excellent this week despite the rough weather. The sailfish are still biting great, even better than last week. Some nice dolphin on the kites too. I've always noticed the fishing is exceptionally good whenever the waters are choppy. I guess activity on the top of the water gets the fish hungry. We caught a few nice dolphin this week on the drift boat, some over 30 pounds. The charter boats have been pulling in some big dolphin too on live baits out of the kite. Some cobia around the shipwrecks are starting to pop up, as are the occassional gag grouper. We haven't been able to go on the swordfishing trip this week because of rough weather so I have nothing to report from that trip. Fish of the week was a 74lb. yellowfin tuna, caught aboard the Big Game. Capt. Johan was kite fishing on the 350' blue water edge when the tuna ate a goggle eye on the surface. Huge explosion in the water when he ate and the angler did battle for 45 minutes to get him in. First yellowfin I've heard of all year. Sharks are starting to make their run down the beach now too. We've caught a few big Hammerheads already and there's been a lot of sighting of others from other boats. Looks like its going to be a good Christmas bite. The weather started laying down yesterday so hopefully well get a few good weeks of beautiful weather. 'Till next week, see ya on the water.

-Capt. Andy
