Amidst all the poor weather recently, we finally managed to get out and spend a day around Kains Island Lighthouse this week, and the Winter Spring bite was surprisingly good. We managed to boat 4 Springs ranging from 12-19 lbs in about 5 hours fishing. The best bite was in the mouth of Quatsino Sound just outside Kains Island Lighthouse in about 135 ft of water. We tried a few spoons and Anchovie, but the best bite was on a Green / Blue / Silver Cowboy Bob Hoochie behind a Hot Shot Plaid UV Flasher.

Our busy season is fast approaching and indications are we are going to have another great year of Salmon and Halibut fishing out of Winter Harbour.

Whether you are interested in doing a Guided Charter Accomodation Package, or bringing your own Boat and RV / Camper, Winter Harbour offers some of the best fishing anywhere on the Coast of British Columbia.
