Blake Nelson

The shallow water bite has been great for the past two weeks. We have been catching good numbers of speckled trout as well as redfish. The bait of choice for the redfish has been the weedless gold spoon with a spinnerbait in a close second. The trout have preferred the glow DOA shrimp and the pearl white Gulp! shrimp. For the bridges we've been dropping down live shrimp for sheepshead and live finger mullet for upperslot and overslot redfish.
