fishing report for tampa bay fl, last week the fishing was great for snook, redfish, and trout, we caught and released 3 large snook over 34 inches. the go to bait last week was scaled sardines, the best bite was in the backcountry in pockets of warm water in the ruskin area of tampa bay fl. we also caught mackerel, and bluefish. the fishing forecast for this week with the cold front that came thru on monday has the water temp cooling as i write this. the best bait this week will be live shrimp free lined or with a split shot to get the bait down in the water column. look for fish up the rivers in tampa bay and warm water pockets of water.
