Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/11/09
To sum up this past week we were fishing for a few bites all week long. Everyday seemed to be a challenge! We caught fish, had some good fish in the 6 ½ lb. range but the number of bites are still down; and when you did find a few fish you had a short window as far as time to get to them. If you had 45 minutes when they finally turned on that was a lot. We did have one day where we had only about 8 bites but they were good fish and ended the day with about 22 lbs. for the best five! This past weekend BFL there were over 100 fisherman that did not weigh in a measuring fish and 50 more that just had one! Tough it was and tough it is!
Most of my fish this week came on crank-baits in the mid part of the day, a few top water bites early where you only had maybe the first hour of the morning and in-between you struggled. Not pretty but it is what it is!
I'll be back at it all week this up-coming week, I'm going to do what I do and hope the bite gets better. We have got to get into a normal fall pattern at some point and hopefully sooner rather than later, and when we do the fishing should be great.
Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
