Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/18/13
This past week on the lake was once again as good as it gets anywhere; it would just be hard for me to believe that maybe outside of a farm pond where the bass basically receive no fishing pressure that it could have been any better. The lake in producing like I have never seen before, every day is special and every day I get to see big smiles in my boat from my customers!
Our numbers are extremely high averaging 40 plus fish a day, having several bass in the 5 to 7 pound range and using just about any bait you can think of and catching fish! It didn't matter if you were fishing a jig or a worm or an old timey chug bug the fish were hitting it. It was a blessed week of bass fishing for all my customers this past week.
We mainly fished Tight-Line football jigs, Missile Bait D-Bombs and Tomahawk worms, Spooks and swim baits. All produced fish, many fish and big fish. You can see the bass stacked up on your Lowrance technology structure scan, it kind of like looking out over farm land where the animals are everywhere you look as the bass stack up together in the lake. This past week was just a gift from heaven for the bass fisherman!
