Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/19/12

Guntersville showed some signs this past week of slowing down, as the bright sunny days and heat are pushing the bass into being a little less active and suspending over the deeper water. I believe what we will see over the next month is the bass will be active on top early and late but the in-between times will be slower and tougher.

The good news was the top water bite in the cloudy days couldn't have been any better, there is plenty of bait being pushed all over the ledges and with just some cloud cover knocking down the sun allowed us to have some great catches. Numbers were high in the overcast days and size was also pretty good.

Fishing over the next few months will have its up's and down's but there is plenty of action for the bass enthusiast you can get on the water and find ways to catch fish with a little creativity!
