We have been fly fishing for Rainbow trout on our interior lakes since early May with good results for fish to 4 lbs. Mostly chironomid fishing under strike indicators has been the best method to fool feeding trout in shoal areas from 5 to 15 feet deep. Our lakes are very nutrient rich with many insects and terrestrials for trout to gorge on and grow fast! It is a very relaxing way to fish, we use float tubes on smaller lakes that are set in the mountains and forested areas where wildlife and many bird species are present- very peaceful and scenic!

tight lines everybody.
