Got out yesterday checking some new areas and found the mother load. I boated around 25 fish that were over 4 lbs and the biggest was right at 7 lbs. I caught fish on a LiL' Hustler 1/2oz jig, crankbait and a big worm. All fish came from 12 to 16 feet of water. When I would get the right school going I could catch 5 or 6 over 4 lbs in 5 or 6 cast. I don't believe that the shad spawn has started just yet. I am marking big balls of bait everywhere though. When the water temp on the main lake hits 75 to 80 they will be wide open .

There is a lot of current running out there and some of the mud from up north is starting to show up. The lake isn't solid mud but is a lot dirtier than it was.

Also when you get to go watch out for all the debris floating around out there. There is a lot of wood and even some new islands floating around.

By the way I have always said give the pros there space and don't crowd them but with what happen to me yesterday it was just uncalled for. I am sitting out in the middle of the lake watching all the boats running around and catching a few fish when one of the pros or so called pros comes and drives a 25 feet circle around my boat to see what I was fishing. I argued a little and he said he wasn't trying to mess me up but was wanting to check out this area and he was only here for a week a we should give them some leeway. It was bull. If you see an Under Armor wrapped boat with Duckett Transports on it go see what he is fishing. If he says anything tell him that he is only here for a week and doesn't own the place. You are just checking out an area. I should call BASS DIRECTORS AND TELL THEM HOW UNPROFESSIONAL HE WAS BEING. I got swamped from all the wake coming form 360 degrees around me. IDIOTS DRIVE ME CRAZY. If I would have been another competitor he wouldn't have done that.

I never get mad about much but I had to vent on that one.

I have days open to fish if anyone wants to book a day.

Good luck
