Sturgeon fishing has been very good over the last few weeks for fish up to 8 feet long or 300 lbs, with most fish weighing 50-100 lbs and full of energy, leaping 1-5 times and making long runs after being hooked. As the Fraser river goes into full freshet in about a week or 2 the fishing will be quite difficult but it will pick up again by mid July and by late August to November fishing will be at it's peak as Sturgeon gorge on salmon parts to prepare themselves for winter. This is when we will experience HOT fishing for Big fish averaging 100-200 lbs and some fish up to 500 lbs or more!!!.
