Tampa, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report
Central Tampa Bay
Despite the heat and humidity the bite was strong on both days. Although it did seem a little better in the afternoon. The mackerel, snapper, trout and snook we're eating a free lined greenbacks.
Surprisingly while mackerel fishing we caught several nice gags in open flat bottom. Actually it shouldn't be a surprise as Tampa Bay has plenty of limerock hard bottom with that looks like swiss cheese.
Big inshore snapper are always fun we're catching them from 14 to 19 inches.
Fish Species: Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Mackerel, Snapper, Grouper
