Fall is here and the fish are on a feeding frenzy. As our nights get cooler the water temperature will slowly be dropping making for some of the best fishing we have to offer all year. Inshore the red fish are schooling up a good numbers 10 - 30 fish in a pod. Live green backs or pin fish are the bait of choice. Fish a moving tide for best action. Snook are also chewing good you will find these silver bullets around mangroves and points

Hernando Beach Fishing Report. Fall is in the air the early mornings are nice and cool but heating up quickly giving us a nice taste of Fall. The fishing is just epic and will only get better. Red fish are schooling up in large numbers 15 to 30 fish in a school. Mid incoming and first part of the outgoing tide is producing a great red fish bite. Live green backs rigged with a 25 pound floralcarbon leader in 1/0 to 2/0 circle hook is my go to inshore set up.

Post hurricane Irma fishing is very good, The water clarity is dirty but this will clear up in about a week. Today Friday the 15th of September was our first day back on the water in 6 days. The bait was easy to get with the live well being blacked out by 7am, We left the dock at 7 30 am from Aripeka and had our first snook by 7 45am. It was non stop action for 4 hours catching red fish, snook, trout and baby tarpon. It was a great day back on the water and the fish where hungry.

Hernando Beach Fishing Report.. Scallop season is in full swing we are limiting out on scallops on every trip out. Bay port to Chassahowitzka is full of scallops in 4 to 6 feet of water.

Hernando Fishing Report Summer heat is here in Florida but the fishing is great. On recent charters my clients have been targeting red fish, snook, gag grouper, cobia, grunts, and mangrove snapper. I will start with red fish, reds are roaming the outer islands and mangrove shorelines. Live bait is the ticket green backs or pin fish are my go to live baits.

Scalloping in Hernando County is off the chain.  The scallops are in 4 to 8 feet of water and depending on the tide low tide being best for everyone you will be able to get your limit of scallops in under two hours. All you need is a few items a mask, snorkel, Finns, and a mesh catch bag.

Its Scallop season here along the Nature Coast of Florida and Hernando Beach is a HOT spot for scallops. Scallops are very thick from Bayport to Chassahowitzka in 4 to 8 feet of water.

Summer is here and scallop season stars on June 25th. Limit for scallops is 2 gallons pre person and no more then 10 gallons pre boat. Remember to fly the divers down flag and watch out for other boaters. Scallops hold on grassy / spotty bottom in 4 to 8 feet of water.
