First time walleye fisherman, Mike Rohrbach and son Kane display their "Limit" catch of Lake Erie walleye caught July 6, aboard Erie Quest.

Most Lake Erie charter anglers come for the amazing walleye fishing. It's not uncommon to catch a limit of these top Lake Erie predators, even if it is your first time fishing on Lake Erie. Everyone has a shot at a "limit" of Lake Erie walleye when you fish aboard the Erie Quest.

First time Lake Erie walleye fisherman Mike Rohrbach and his son - Kane, are prime examples. Neither had caught a Lake Erie walleye....but after a day fishing aboard the Erie Quest, they both could say they had caught their limit of Lake Erie walleye. That's because Capt. Rick was born and raised along the shores of Lake Erie, and brings an intimate knowledge of the reefs, open water and rocky shoreline structures on the lake for a great fishing experience. When walleye fishing you need to know location, location, location to be successful. The past several days we have been fishing near West Sister Island with excellent results. Both days we culled many, many walleye!

Saturday I fished with family members....including 8 year old twins - Anna & Eric. We boated over 60 walleye and brought home 42 in 5 hours. Gold weapons, working the swing on a "5 count" was the ticket on this day, but colors and count can vary daily.

On Sunday I fished with some guests from Columbus, Ohio....3 fathers and their sons and they woulld quickly experience Lake Erie walleye fishing at it's finest.

We left the dock at 7:00 and headed North of West Sister. We were pretty much along in these waters teaming with Lake Erie walleye, 14 miles out, when we started casting our gold bladed weapons. After 65 minutes we had boated 40 walleye, keeping 26 plump walleye on our first drift of the day. Most of these walleye were from the class of 2003, plump 3-4 pound walleye. Our biggest fish was 24.5 inches.

After 4 hours and culling many walleye we had our limit of Lake Erie walleye and we turned our 30' Coastal Fisherman towards Meinke Marina with 42 nice walleye in the cooler. Our bountiful catch would tip the scales at 88 pounds at Szuch's Bait, where they were cleaned, filleted, and bagged for the ride home.

Give me a call if you would like to experience Lake Erie walleye fishing. Tight lines...
