Its looking like there is going to be a great bite in June! We went out on Memorial Day to experience awesome fishing. Chris and Jessica hooked into a few nice ones. The day started out with a couple nice king mackerel. We had a blast boating these smokers on spinning gear. The trip stayed action packed! After a strait down vertical battle Chris lands a close state record gray trigger fish. The biggest one I have ever personally seen. Great catch buddy! This fish hammered a live bait like a stud. Shortly after, Jessica jumps on the rod for a huge 12 pound mutton snapper. We thought we were hooked into a bonita the whole time. With long runs and a couple trips around the boat. After catching this fatty, we found some yellow tail snapper, lane snapper, and more muttons. What a great day on the water! Truly a Happy Memorial Day. Thank you to all of our Veteran's for your service and keeping us safe! Overall fishing has been great! King Mackerel continue to bite great everyday. Sailfish and blackfin tuna have been making some showings. We have experienced great dolphin fishing at times. Congrats to first time angler Steve for boating a holy cow 30 pound dolphin on Friday! There have been lots of peanuts from the ledge to 1,000 feet. These fish are eating drifting, trolling, and sight fishing. Snook fishing is picking up around the inlet and beach. If you want to get your trophy this the time of year to do it! Visit www.gettinluckyfishing.com to get hooked up. We have a few open dates in June. See you on the water.
