Had Charlie Kelly his brother Bob and friend Ed out for a half day Blue fish charter. Just breaking out of the Shrewsbury found a schol feeding outside Atl Highlands Harbor.....tried for about 20 minutes no takers they had lock jaw.
Moved west in the Bay and found a large school of 3-6 lbers off Keansburg. Boys were having a blast with popers and knuckleheads...hooked and released over 40, put about 18 in the box. School fell apart and again went in search, found another large school near the 20 can in the reach, 6-9 lbers, again boys were casting the rods non stop, released about another 30 and put 6 in the box......
As we were in the Bluefish frensey the weather started coming up with lightning cracking up the bay.....hightailed it for home. Just made it to the dock when she let loose.........great day with great guys, nothing better than fighting blues on light tackle
