My brother Jim and I, fishing out of his camp in Rockwood, boated 10 Lake trout up to 22 inches and 4 landlocked salmon up to 18 inches. We were trolling in front of the Moose River. The smelt run in the river was attracting fish to this area making the fishing hot. The bait of choice of course was sewed smelt on lead core line and flylines dragged at about 1.0 mile per hour. We also used a downrigger with a Dave Davis Rig. Great fun on what is becoming a yearly tradition for us!
