The summer season in Alaska has come to a close..No more rainbow trout, no more salmon, arctic char, grayling or dolly varden...(Until next summer)..

Here are a few photos of some beautiful Alaskan Rainbows from this past week of fishing.

It's time to move on to the fall & winter season here on the lagoons of Florida's space coast. We had a terrific season fishing in Alaska this year, but now it is time for tailing reds in the super shallow gin clear water of the Mosquito Lagoon.

The water conditions are excellent for catching redfish in the shallows. As the fall continues to approach, the water levels will continue to drop and become low and clear. Perfect for the sight fisherman, whether using fly or light tackle.

Target these fish with a stealthy approach and you're sure to be rewarded. Flies such as the KWAN and Borski slider will work well along with traditional light tackle tactics (Gulps and Soft plastics)

You just can't get any better than the Mosquito Lagoon. Call or email Captain Mike now to book a trip on this fantastic fishery.
