Steelhead Fishing California & Brookings, Oregon
Steelhead fishing on the Smith River this week has been good. Rain is finally here, which is a good thing.
This new rain is bring up new fish. Now Producing 2 to 5 steelhead a day. The Checto River fishing for steelhead has been good this week as well. Steelhead on the ranging from 5- 15 pounds average, with an occasional larger steelhead.

Fly fishing the Redding has been fantastic. Rain has been heavy last few days , with high winds.
Prior to storm , the trout we have been catching have been ranging in size from 12 - 20 inches, catching a few steelhead . Using Gordon's # 16 has been a great fly , working well, and Egg patterns have been best bet. River drifting Redding, California and Anderson, California fly fishing for wild rainbow trout.
