Open boat fishing - Pollock, ling, cod and hake

2007-04-04 09:57:48
Point Pleasant, New Jersey - Saltwater Fishing Report
20 to 40 mile wrecks

The "Gambler" fished all winter (when the weather let us) targeting pollock, cod and ling. During February and most of March, the catch was prodominately ling and hake, with just a few cod and pollock. But lately we are seeing some more nice pollock and cod, apparently on the move since the water has begun to warm-up.

Thru April, we will run offshore in search of bigger fish. We hit those wrecks everyday except Thursdays and Saturdays.
