Orange Beach, Alabama - Saltwater Fishing Report
Nearshore and offshore Alabama Gulf Coast near Orange beach and Gulf Shores

The redfish are here. We caught our first Alabama bull redfish of the year on October 14th, 2009. I can just imagine what the bite will be after this first cold front on October 17th. The Orange Beach fishing for big bull redfish should be on with this cooler weather. These big redsfish will be caught on 4, 5 and 6 hour nearshore fishing charters. The king mackerel bite should also continue to be good. We caught some nice amberjack on an 8 hour fishing charter this week. We usually need a 10 hour to locate the amberjack but we have experienced some success on the recent 8 hour charters. We will have a good chance to catch wahoo, marlin and mahi mahi during October and November. October has proven to be a hot month for Orange Beach fishing with catches of mackerel, amberjack and now bull redfish. Just awesome.
