Over the past 7 days I have spent 4 days working with the FLW Outdoors

Group running a Media Boat for the College FLW Regional Tournament here

on Lake Monroe and the St Johns River. The Florida Gators came a way with the

win just like last year. The water temps are still hanging around in the mid to

upper 70's and this has the fish biting very well.I spent today on the River with

my good buddy Hank looking at some areas for up coming trips this week.

First area we stopped at produced about 30 fish from 1 to 4 pounds.

For over an hour Hank and I caught a fish or lost a fish on every cast.

These fish would pound the Rattle Trap into the shell bottom then jump

and come unhooked. We were only in two foot of water.Hank started casting

a Texas Rigged Worm and catching a fish on every cast.We left those fish

biting and started working some thick grass along the main River edge and

caught a few nice fish on a Bitters Speed Worm.

Jan Feb March 2011 are booking up fast so don't delay booking your trip for the

up coming spawn.Take a look at the Bass Challenger 2008 2009 2010

Trophy Pages and see what fishing Largemouth Bass during the spawn is

all about.
