For sale are 12 tarpon flies.
You can have the flies pictured, or just about any other standard keys style pattern. I can also tie bunny style tarpon flies with any combination of chartruese, purple, black, red, white, and blue. I also have access to other colors of bunny, just let me know. I can also tie just about any color of lefty's deceiver in the traditional style, and a few in all synthetic versions. I can tie in any number wanted. If you want fewer than 12, let me know and I'll post an auction for you. same applies for more than 12.
I specialize in assortments. If you like, you can give me some information on your destination, time of year, and species being pursued, and I will either give you advice on flies based on personal experience, or will do research on your behalf and set you up with a good assortment. I also offer discounts on multiple flies. E-mail me for details at wademcarthur@hotmail.com I can tie assortments that will include bonefish flies, permit flies, and tarpon flies. Let me know what you need and we'll come up with an assortment together and a price you can live with. I can tie any number of flies you want. If you want something different, let me know. If the fly isn't mentioned above, once again, let me know and I'll give an honest answer on whether I can do it or not. I've had customers order up to 80 flies at once.
You'll likely not find a better priced fly tied on a premium hook. Most others will tie on Mustad or a similiar economical hook. I prefer to tie on Gamakatsu hooks, but will also tie on Tiemco or Owner hooks for a small surcharge. I dislike Tiemco hooks due to being brittle, and Owner hooks are overpriced in my humble opinion. Bid with confidence. Beware of "resharpened" hooks. I tie on hooks that are dangerous to start with. Based on searching for "Tarpon Flies" on e-bay, it appears my flies are some of the cheapest to start with. That, along with the premium hooks makes it one of the best deals on ebay. I promise you won't be dissappointed.
Want proof that my flies work? I included a picture of a large triple digit tarpon that I landed on October 15, 2009 in Manzanillo, Costa Rica. It was caught on a synthetic green and white deceiver that I tied especially for the trip. My friend and I landed 5 tarpon in 6 days on flies I tied, and jumped perhaps 12 others. I promise they work!
