A TREATISE ON THE RIGHT OF PROPERTY IN TIDE WATERS AND IN THE SOIL AND SHORES THEREOF, Joseph K. Angell, Boston: Charles C. Little and James Brown, 1847. Second Edition, Revised, Corrected and Much Enlarged. 6 x 9 inches. 475 pages plus 24 pages publisher ads, almost all law books. Full leather binding. Exterior spine joints were weak, and several small bits of leather were missing on spine. I repaired it with layers of dyed Japanese art paper. Color match not exact, but hinges are now solid. The whole process is reversible, as I used wheat paste glue. Circular glass mark (might have been a hot glass) on front board, light peeling here and there on boards. Owner?s bookplate on front pastedown. Several instances of penciled notes or underlining in text. Moderate foxing on pages. One signature (group) of pages juts out 1/16 of an inch beyond its neighbors, but seems firmly bound in. Owner?s name, dated 1847, at top of title page. Tight binding. Condition: good?..
