Have you ever wondered why the older guy or gal always catch the fish and you dont?

Everything you could possibly want and need to know are in these very old eBooks.

I love fishing and now I am getting something thanks to the old masters secrets.

1.  A concise practical treatise on artificial fly fishing for trout 50 years experience GEEY DRAKE (1860)

IN the following humble effort I have endeavoured to communicate to the inexperienced lovers ofartificial fly-fishing, as concisely as possible, and in a practical form, the result of my own experienceof upwards of fifty years.I treat only of fishing for trout with the artificial fly, adding a few observations on dibbingfor trout with artificial flies and other baits. I have no other ambition than that of initiatingthe tyro in the " gentle " and elegant art, with as little trouble and expense to him as may be. Ifhe will do me the honour to become my disciple, and practise what I preach, I confidently promisehim as much success as any artificial fly-fisher may reasonably expect.^ GREY DRAKE.1860.

2. Angling a practical guide to bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, and fly-fishing by J. T. BURGESS ([1867])

THERE are thousands of people who love a day's fishing, but who have neither the time nor the inclinationto make a profound study of the gentle craft. They are often dispirited and disappointed at theirwant of success. They have sighed for a comprehensive, practical, yet handy manual, which is neithertoo large for the pocket, nor too brief to be useful. Perhaps no out-door sport has so large or so fine aliterature as angling. So full and exhaustive are the various treatises, that it appears presumptuous toplace another volume on the already loaded shelves of the fisherman's library. If anglers all belonged tothe rich and leisurely grades of society, I should certainly not have expanded my rough fishing notesinto a book.Though I have embodied my own experiences into these pages, I have not overlooked the advice of mybrother anglers, when I found 011 trial that their plans were more simple, or, practically, more useful thanmy own.

3. More about the black bass; and Fly Fishing by JAMES A. HENSHALL. (1889)

The very flattering reception accorded to the Book of THE Black Bass, and the favorable notices and encomiums it has received from naturalists, and anglers, and the press, and its success as a literary enterprise (for all of which I am profoundly grateful), has induced and encouraged me to bring its subject-matter down to date.

4. The compleat troller or, The art of trolling in England by JAMES TRYON (1682)

5. The Fly-Fisher's Entomology, by Alfred Ronalds written in (1839)

THE TENTH EDITION.Mr. Ronalds died in 1860 in Australia, where he passed the last eighteen years ofhis life.In preparing the tenth edition of his uncle's book it was a natural desire of the present editor to add a chapter on dry fly fishing, as practised at the present day. Further consideration, however, satisfiedhim that the peculiar merit of the " Fly Fisher's Entomology " and its well-earned place for the last sixty-four years in the estimation and on the shelves of those votaries of fly-fishing. The solid claims of the book rest on its being the work of a clever, observant, and successfid fisherman, who wrote ofwhat he knew, and gave his reader only the results of carefal observation of nature and long personal experience.

 8. The angler's manual; or, Fly-fisher's oracle BY JOHN TURTON, (1836)

HAVING for thirty years practised the art of angling, fishing for whole seasons through, when the weatherpermitted, particularly for trout and greyling, in all sorts of waters, I have acquired a considerableknowledge of the art. Being also in the habit of making rods, and spinning lines with finegut twisted amongst the hairs, and of supplying gentlemen regularly with flies, my friends have, for some time, urged me to publish a treatise on angling, comprising a proper description of feathersfor making artificial flies, particularly from what part of the birds they are obtained, which, althoughof great importance, is left out by most authors.
