Up for bid is a nice ice rod that I made that would be good for to use in a shanty.
It is 23 1/4 inches long with a "Microlite" solid fiberglass and graphite composite blank with the tip measuring a very sensitive 2/64". It is fast action meaning most of the bend occurs toward the tip, giving you good hook set. This would be a fun rod to use for panfish.
It has 4 handwrapped guides and tip. The handle is a Korkalon foam handle with graphite slip rings. I thought the handle felt too whimpy so I re-enforced it with dowel rod and then drilled it out for the blank.
Optimax 101 reel included, (Wal-mart $6.99).
Nice rod, low starting bid, I'll even pay return postage if not happy, this auction definately needs watching!!
Thanks for looking and have a nice week, ice will be here before long I hope.
