 ABOUT THE PAINTING:

This painting is titled, "Snook Haven" after a very famous fishing hole here in Southwest Florida. The painting was done en plein air with a palette knife and has nice layers of impasto throughout.The painting measures 16x12 inches on archival wrapped linen, and is being sold unframed. It is signed on the front and includes a certificate of authenticity as well.  This is a one-of-a kind original oil painting, and not a print, giclee or reproduction of any kind. Snook Haven on the Myakka River is a popular retreat for all sorts of people- fisherman, bikers, canoists, kayakers, environmentalists, artists, musicians-you name it!- anyone looking for a taste of Old Florida and some relaxation. It is now owned by Sarasota County and there's a restaurant there that is located right on the banks of the Myakka River where you can enjoy watching the snook jump right out of the water while seated at picnic tables that are inevitably covered with pitchers of beer and onion rings. Great fun, no matter what!

International buyers please inquire about international shipping rates prior to bidding as they have fluctuated in recent months.  I am happy to offer combined shipping on the purchase of multiple items when it's possible to ship them together.   All paintings 12x16 and under are shipped Priority Mail as soon as they are dry enough to ship safely. All paintings larger than 12x16 are shipped UPS or FedEx ground.
