Vintage or Antique Brass Downrigger VGC For Sale

DESCRIPTION:

I don't know much about this old downrigger, but here is what I know.  The downrigger is made of brass.  The pole or rod, does not seem to be original to the downrigger, but with the wooden pulley on it, it does have some age.  It is not brass.  The downrigger does have wire on it, but I don't know how much it is, but I would assume with how big the rigger is, it has to be well over 100' and that may be a major understatement.  The rigger measures over 12" in dimeter and over 2" thick.  The pole/rod measures 44" without the pulley.

This downrigger weighs more than my 25# postal scale can measure.  Shipping is based on 40 pounds for this item.  I also measure this as needing to be a large package according to the USPS guidlines.  In the end if it weighs less than 40 pounds shipped, I will refund the difference.  In other words, whatever your shipping charges are(based on your zip code) you will only pay actual charges.

SHIPPING: 

Winner is responsible for all shipping costs.  You can find out what your shipping cost will be by using the shipping caluclator below or if the shipping cost is fixed see description.  I use two different methods of shipping: Priority Mail:  Faster delivery time, but more expensive.  Very reasonable for smaller packages/envelopes.  The Post office not only charges for weight, but also for package sizes.  It can be very expensive for larger packages. Parcel Post:  A bit slower, but cheaper, especially for large or heavy packages.  Normal Delievery time is 2-9 days.

Insurance is strongly encouraged.  I cannot be held responsible for items once they are no longer in my possession.  When the need arises and a claim needs to be sought, I follow the USPS guidlines in filing claims for broken and lost items. 

PLEASE READ NOTE ON SHIPPING TIME:   I do my best to get all packages in the mail within 5-7 days of payment received.  Some are faster and some are slower.  Please feel free to contact me to check the status or to let me know that you need this for a special event(birthday, holiday, gift, etc).  I am not the fastest shipper on eBay, but I always deliver what my descriptions say.  I do my best to make sure that you, as a buyer, have a pleasant eBay experience. 

COMBINING ITEMS FOR SHIPMENT:  I will combine shipments unless otherwise stated in auction description.  I cannot always know what the combined shipping cost will be, except to say that it will be cheaper than if  you were to ship the items separately.

RETURNS:  I will give a full refund, including all shipping, if it is found that I have misrepresented a particular item.  You must contact me within 24 hours of receiving the item.  Item must be returned in the same condition that it was sent.

NOTE:  As a seller I strive to do the best for you the bidder is all aspects of the auction process.  I write descriptions that are short and accurate to the best of my knowledge and post pictures that will give you the best idea of the condition of the item.  Once the auction ends, I seek to get the item in the mail as soon as possible(once payment is received) and packed right to ensure safe delivery.  I do my best to answer any and all emails so that the buyer can know the status of delivery and know that their item is on the way.
