Reasonable chance for some rain on almost any afternoon. Lots of still mornings with only a slight onshore breeze in the afternoons. Comfortable sea conditions on most days for those with even the weakest stomachs when it comes to getting offshore. Often flat calm. Summer patterns for weather are here and it's a great time of year to head offshore and enjoy our Ft. Lauderdale fishing. And fishing is often good.

Pictured are Ali, Brittney, Kristy and Mark with nice sized typical summer species. Kings, Mahi-Mahi and Bonito.

The last three days have offered up some really good fishing offshore for Mahi-Mahi. Large numbers of fish are moving through essentially in depths from 700 to 850 feet of water in front of our inlet. Also some fish out on the 49/50 line as well. Beautiful blue Gulfstream water with loads of weeds . More weeds offshore than we have seen in at least 10 years and those Mahi are in it. These fish are on the move and a Hawk (Frigate Bird) working an area is a great help as always in finding a fast moving bunch of fish. And the Hawks are out there in good numbers as well working over the Flying Fish the Mahi are pushing. We have hoped for a Marlin bite on our trips but that has not happened. But it will.

Some Grouper and Mutton Snapper inside near the reefs on structure. Some Tuna as well. Swordfishing is still strong but no charters for us for them and we are still hoping to get a crack at them. Every day can't be a home run but it is a great time of year. Tight lines, Capt. Rick
