[Lake Conroe,TX] Black bass fishing has been fair with the fish holding around boat dock, riprap, jetties and other structure in 12 -15 feet of water. Crappie fishing has been outstanding all week with the bite early and late. The fish were in 17 to 22 feet of water. Catfish fishing has been outstanding in 16-20 feet of water. Hybrid activity has been fair with the fish starting to move to the points to feed when shad move in on the main lake and secondary points.

[Lake Fork,TX] Even though we’re approaching mid-October, water temps are still sitting in the mid-70s and our best fall bite is yet to come. As cold fronts roll through regularly and the water temps move into the 60s, big bass will come more consistently from the shallows and lunker fish will also group up out deep.

[Toldeo Bend,TX] 2009 is the besy year in 12 to 15 yrs on Toledo as far as the amount of submerged grasses. Hydrilla has made a huge comeback and is now covering more areas than in recent memory and the bass are in the grass.
