Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/16/07
Fishing this past week has put to test the best of the fisherman; the water is already 84+ degrees like in the mid summer and the bass are looking for oxygen in the deeper water. Needless to say it made this past week very tuff, you worked hard out there for a few bites. However those that stuck to it and worked hard were rewarded with some good catches.
The wind for most of the week was out of the North until Saturday that made most of this week act like a classic high-pressure day. We caught fish but the numbers were down for a few of the days. The bite turned on Friday some as we landed over 30 bass on a 5-hour trip. Most were small fish but the bite made it fun.
Friday afternoon and Saturday I participated in the Coaches Kick-in Bass Tournament had a great partner and had a lot of fun.
This up coming week I have several days and or evenings available if you would like to fish, my 3-hour Top Water Excursions are very popular and most have been very successful. My new “Fishing Tip of the Week” is now posted on my web site.
See my web site www.fishlakeguntersvilleguideservice for details. I expect this week with rain in the forecast to be excellent fishing.
