Time to catch up on some late reports from last week at the Beach. Things started off Monday with Larry and Linda Abbott along with their two grandsons. We were greeted by a stiff breeze as we headed out to Bay Eloi. We made several stops trying to stay out of the wind finding lots of fish and action, but lots of throw backs. When we did find keepers they were nice ones. With a nice box of Trout plus a couple of Reds, they called it a day and fun day with the grandkids it was.

Wednesday it was the Rob Defraites group of three. It was supposed to be a big Trout trip out to the Sound as that is what Rob wanted to, but Mother Nature had other plans. We fished in Bay Eloi where we could find good water and got a few bites of some good sized Trout. The bite was not fast, but steady and nice Trout so we stuck with it. Campo's live shrimp under a cork did the job of putting 75 Trout on ice.

Friday it was Bob Bell along with his dad, son Mathew and Jacob. We started off the day with a good breeze and some storms around. The cloud cover and breeze did make things very comfortable out in Eloi. Our first stop at a rig produced some very nice Trout till the small Trout and dolphins took over. We made a move to an island point and got a good bite of some very nice Trout. The guys were flinging the Trout in the boat and the Trout sill bit with waves coming over the bow. The wind eventually blew us lose from the anchor and over the fish. After that we made a couple other stops while running from the weather. With a pretty box of fish they called it a day.

Saturday I ran a trip for Capt. Frank and we had 100 nice Trout early and almost made it back to beat the rain.

The fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding and the Trout bite is on big time. There are still some open dates so book yours soon. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice overnight accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.
