The Red fishing is as good as it has ever been in the back waters of North Florida right now. There are plenty of fish and the quality is also good. Lots of fish in the 4 to 8 pound range and they are not shy

Pick any oyster mound or deep cut in a shallow creek and you will be on the Reds. The Tarpon are also all over the beach and I'm seeing quite a few in the back waters. The unlimited supply of bait every where in the river and creeks has all the fish in a feeding frenzy!

The nice Trout in the 3 to 5 pond range are in the river now and I have been catching 15 to 20 Trout each trip. The Flounder are also bunching up. Once you find one you should be able to catch quite a few.

Lady fish Blue fish Redfish you name it. Right now it is non stop action

Bio: Being a native of Northeast Florida I have enjoyed the excellent fishing and wildlife this area has to offer. I have been fishing the Jacksonville Florida area over 30 years with many a memorable fishing trip starting when I was a kid. We are in between and only minutes away from Amelia Island and St. Augustine, we can enjoy the fishing any direction. From downtown to the mouth of the ocean and all the back water in between.
