Fishing Fort Lauderdale on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Steve Lindquist and Brad Larkan from Kleiberit Adhesives along with their clients, Dave Deltaan and Orestes Alvarez chartered the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea sport fishing Fort Lauderdale FL. We had winds out of the west at 5-7 mph, a slight overcast with temperatures in the high 80's and seas 2-3 ft.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock lines were in the water at the sea buoy located in 120 ft. of water in Fort Lauderdale FL. We started off trolling with two plainers down, one with a purple and black sea witch in front of a double hook Ballyhoo and the other with a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon. For surface baits we went with two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips with skirts in front and a daisy chain teaser. With 34 artificial wrecks located here in Fort Lauderdale FL, ranging from 60 ft. out to 430 ft. of water, gives you a wide area for fishing. I trolled over numerous artificial wrecks, the first sitting in 84 ft out, which is a DC4 airplane, the last sitting in 260 ft. of water, which is a 300 ft. freighter. While trolling, the anglers took turns catching fish, and we ended up with 9 Bonitos, a couple of Barracudas and 4 Tunas, the largest Tuna weighing 22 lbs.

On the ride back to do dock at Bahia Mar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale Fl. 33316, Steve and Brad entertained their clients in the A/C salon and discussed how they would prepare their Tunas for tonight's dinner.
