San Francisco Bay, Sacramento River and Lake Amador Fishing Various fishing trips to Lake Amador, San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay and Sacramento Delta. We were primarily fishing for Stripers and Sturgeon when we got into Bat Ray and Shark action in San Pablo. For a while we could not keep the small sharks and rays away. San Francisco Marina Pier Fishing Trip Went to the municipal pier in the Marina district at about 7:15 am to go fishing. The parking situation is cool, you get 4 hours free :) I used my trusty anchovies and got several bites... possible crabs since my bait was shredded on several occasions. One time I got a good hit and the drag was going out, but upon reeling it in my line snapped :( Another fishermen caught a sand shark which is encouraging... but I'm going to try out a new pier next time.
