San Juan River Fly Fishing - Navajo Lake The San Juan River creates Navajo Lake. Bronze pearls or common carp caught fly fishing with tiny ants on the waters of Navajo Lake, NM/CO. The San Juan River is known for it's "Quality Waters" trout fishing but here is the other side of the story. Carp surface consuming tiny midges and ants between the hours of 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM. Fly fishing big brown San Juan River feb09 Yesterday was by far best fishing day condition I had this winter, 60' plus temp and saw few big trout. San Juan River fly fishing, nice trout, Jan 2009 yspecial.com This is a nice cuttbow (rainbow cutthroat mix) from the San Juan. The river is murky due to lake turnover so don't know what you are getting this time of the year. All I can tell you is that they still have to eat so match the hatch and catch bunch. San Juan River Fun fly fishing Jerry has been my previous profession's client/ friend when I lived in Denver and came for me to learn more of AK Fly Fishing System. It has been at least 22 yrs since I met him and he knows about many of my trophy trout from CO, which all caught them using Yong's Flies.
