Coast Guard Airlifts Sick Man from Fishing Boat Sassy Sarah CAPE MAY--- The Coast Guard medevaced a 35-year-old male from a 73-foot fishing boat 50 miles southeast of Cape May after he was suffering from a soar throat Monday. Medevaced was Jaime Gibbs. The Coast Guard received a call at approximately 11:03 am from a crew member aboard the Sassy Sarah reporting Gibbs' throat was starting to swell shut and he could no longer speak. Fishing Vessel hits Bridge A 90 foot commercial fishing vessel Jason & Danielle of Montauk, NY collided with the Middle Thorofare Bridge at around 7:00 pm on Thursday, Aug 20. According to the Coast Guard the vessel lost its propulsion system and hit the fendering system of the bridge becoming wedged under the bridge.
