I expected a trophy Striped Bass (striper). But I ended up with a 24" and bunch of small striped bass. Fishing was not good near Breezy Point today. It was not a productive day for many boat-anglers. And the striped bass caught by the boat-anglers were small. Bluefish were gone back to the ocean due to the cold water temp at 60F. I am expecting big trophy striped Bass for next 4-5 weeks. I ... Shark Fishing in The Chesapeake Bay Went out of Cape Charles on the eastern side of Viginia to go fishing for cobia. We never caught any cobia however one of our bait fish was cut clean in half, which we think a cobia hit it cause they have no teeth. Charter boat we went out on is called "Teacher's Pet" and we must have caught about 40 sharks. They ranged from about 3ft to 4ft long and were either dusky shark or dogfish. Fishing While Kayak Sailing Oct 04, 2009 Chesapeake Bay, MD My home made sail allows me cover more water and distance when I fish on a kayak. This was the first time I tested my new sail (14.5 square feet). I traveled 22 miles for 7 hours (including 4 breaks) without effort. I think I am the only one who fishes while sailing.
