56lb Wahoo on spin w/butterfly jig Wahoo fishing in San Salvador in March. This video is last minutes of a 15 minute heart attack I had with a big hoo on spin. 700' of water off Green Cay. Figured I could get one to eat a butterfly jig. While the deep drop rod was busy, and not really feeling like dropping 700. I dropped it maybe 100-200. Five cranks on the way up he has there. Happened on the first drop! Didn't happen again though. I was an absolute nervous wreck worrying we were going to lose the fish. The deep drop line was still down. We survived two different times the fish wrapped the deep drop line without getting cut off. ( a miracle). At gaff the fish came up at an angle popped its head out of the water and did a head shake. I had four simultaneous heart attacks. Then as it was gaffed the jig flew out , you can hear my scream of agony, thinking we lost it, soon turn to the thrill of victory one second later.
