Noodling Catfish Noodling is the practice and sport of fishing for catfish using only one's bare hands. Catfisting, grabbling, graveling, hogging, tickling, are all possible names, depending on region. (Kentuckians call it dogging, while Nebraskans prefer stumping). Five U.S. states have laws explicitly permitting handfishing: Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Kansas. Missouri had an experimental noodling season in 2005 on sections of three rivers, from June 1 through July 15. The term "noodling", although today used primarily towards the capture of flathead catfish, can and has been applied to all hand fishing methods, regardless of the method or species of fish sought. Noodling as a term has also been applied to various unconventional methods of fishing, such as any which do not use bait, rod & reel, speargun, etc., but this usage is much less common. ESPN BassMaster Casting Kids Contest KickBack Junior Bass Club from Kansas B.A.S.S Club recently held the team's first CastingKids event of the year. Josh from Lip RipperZ took the lanes casting his first event ever fishing with the Junior Bass Club "KickBack". This was a very exciting event with some new kids walking away with a pocket full of free bass lures and a free Zebco 33 the official rod and real of the Bassmaster CastingKids Contest. Harbor Town-Original Song by Tom Cellie about New England Growing up in New England was the best! I have lived in Kansas City for 11 years and it has been ages since I went home. I lived just blocks from the ocean in a town called Beverly just 8 miles south of Gloucester which has a major fishing industry. I spent many weekends driving up the coast to Gloucester and points north. It's literally like a postcard and I wanted to put that postcard into a song. I hope this song gives a visual of what its like in New England at winter. This is a live run with MANY mistakes. Please forgive the dingers on the guitar, when I get inspired for the words I need to record them in a hurry so as not to forget the the melody and embellishments.
